The Head And The Heart

The tree's roots clutch the earth, gazing at the sky

All its branches and leaves sing of the taste of being alive

A light rain falls, swaying with the wind

Freely returning to the most azure, embracing home

The world, all things, they cycle, never questioning where to go

But why can't I find my own direction?

All the voices others and experience give me

Could they not compare to the you I can feel?

I love feeling the melody from your chest

Shutting out all the voices that doubt us

The light rain's dream, the great tree's home, layers encircling

Drawing out the most vivid, most beautiful picture

Thinking of my hand, your lips, my heart

All my blood stirs, I am missing you

The world, all things, they cycle, telling us where to go

Just let go, follow it, the direction it guides

All the voices others and experience give me

Never compare to the you I can feel

I love feeling the melody from your chest

Blocking all the voices that doubt us
