Life's A Struggle

In 1995, I arrived in this world

Here I want to give my mother my sincerest thanks

To raise me, she gave up her career

Yet I brought her pain, through every day and night

Grandma told me my father had long passed away

I still recall the scene, the room in dead silence lay

That moment, I no longer wish to reminisce

And those siblings I've never met, I've missed

Back to school, I wouldn't obey

Made teachers and classmates afraid, they'd whisper and say

I committed every sin, the image flashes in a blink

Like a wild goose, I fear the face of past mistakes, I think

Brought rage into school, found the trick to skip class

Police found me, Mom cried, saying I was too young to pass

Back then I felt, everyone was against me

In my own world, I fell freely

When I ran away, I wasn't even fifteen yet

Fighting and skipping school, became the family's regret

I hated constraints, despised being confined

Used the most extreme ways, so those who hurt me would mind

Do you ever feel fate is unfair to you?

But sometimes learn to find lightness in the heavy too

I gaze at the stars, seal the past in ice

Swear I won't live like them, in mediocrity's vice

Life's a struggle, days must go on

After usual joys and sorrows, countless troubles spawn

Everyday, how many problems must we face?

How many nights, pain and worry keep you from sleep's grace?

Truth gets forgotten, hidden in letters that lie

Leaves drift in exile, wind hasn't ceased to blow

You and I both want our names in history to glow

Since childhood, I knew feet on ground, sky above head

Buddha looks down, sees mortals like ants instead

Don't be afraid, darkness can't overcome the light

Stay true, and you'll receive love's accolade bright

What I want, I'll strive and fight for on my own

Not like a child, behind me with complaints thrown

Want the road to dreams, always lit with green

Even on knees, toward the goal I'll race unseen

I don't care what opinions you might hold

When I needed saving, where were you to be told?

Too many necessary ties, constantly shifting

Remind me, faces under masks are all drifting

On the dream path, I won't halt my stride

All want success, but few reach that high tide

I slowly changed from reckless rush to firm ground

In dirty mud, I search for treasures to be found

Without hardship, how can it be called life?

At every fork, I weigh the choices with strife

Now I stand here

The sun still rises clear

No matter what comes, face it with a smile, that's the truth
